President
Frank K.

FRANK K. is our President. This is Frank’s third term in that office. Frank has been partnered with Mitch H. for 8 years now. Both of them have been tireless workers for G&M Indy. Frank was born in Indianapolis and was active in the now defunct Hoosier Bears where he met his husbear Mitch. He is a cancer & heart by-pass survivor. He loves to spend time making friends & enjoying their company! Frank loves music, movies & singing karaoke. Frank lives on the West side of Indy. Scott B.

SCOTT B. is our Vice President. This is Scott’s first full term as VP. He took the job after Daniel J.’s death last year. Scott has been involved with Girth & Mirth for a number of years since he moved to Indiana from Kentucky. He loves to play games and is an avid karaoke singer. Scott is a kind hearted fellow who has a keen intellect. He enjoys movies and theater, gardening, cooking and reading. Scott is single. Scott is living on the South side of Indy. Secretary/Website Assistant/Newsletter Editor
Michael S.

MICHAEL S. is our Secretary and Co-Chairman of the Crossroads of American Conference. He is also Secretary of the ABC (Affiliated Bigmens’ Clubs). Michael restarted Girth & Mirth Indianapolis approx. seven years ago. He served as President for the first 2 1/2 yrs. He has been Secretary of the club since April 2005. Prior to that he founded & served as President of Girth & Mirth of the Heartland. He has also served as an officer for Girth & Mirth Seattle & Midwest Girth & Mirth-Ft. Wayne. Michael has ties to the Dallas/Fort Worth Bigmen’s Club. Michael is single. Michael lives on the southwest side of Indy near the airport. He was ordained in 1996 (ACC and now ULC) and has been active in Jesus Metropolitan Community Church in Indy. He has performed a number of same-sex Holy Unions. He has served a number of churches of different denominations. Michael attended Lee University, Cleveland, TN where he double majored in music & education. He is a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in music education. He is now on disability. Michael has taught music in a number of schools. He has also worked as Night Manager & Auditor for several large hotels. Pookie Bear (one of Michael’s nicknames, also Care Bear & Sugarbear) loves to keep busy on his computer, watch TV (especially comedies and sci-fi), go to movies & theatre, read & talk to friends. He has been known to dabble in painting, writing poetry, music & short stories. He also enjoys singing and playing various musical instruments. Treasurer
Tom S.

TOM S. is our Treasurer. He started his current term as January 1, 2008. Tom joined the current G&M Indy group in April 2005. He was one of the founding members of the first Girth & Mirth Indianapolis Club (1988-91) serving as Secretary & Treasurer and one of the charter members of the Hoosier Bears (1993-94). Tom is single and lives on the far Westside of Indy. Tom loves to sing & thanks to Frank & Mitch has gotten heavily involved in karaoke. Tom has been employed as office manager at Malone’s Catering for the past 15 years and is now retired. In his early days he spent nearly 2 yrs as a disc jockey, first at a small FM Station in Greencastle, IN & then 2½ yrs as the night DJ at country station WLBJ in Bowling Green, KY. Tom used to be much larger than his current 295#. Less than 4 years ago he weighed in at about 435# before undergoing Bariatric surgery at St. Vincent’s Carmel Hospital. He complains of resembling one of those “Shar Pei” dogs because of many wrinkles due to the loss, but feels better than he did at 35. Tom was born in Indianapolis and has lived in this area his whole life except during his radio days. Tom has many pastimes & hobbies besides Karaoke including collecting & studying atlases, maps & travel lit from all over the world; reading & looking at books & magazines on subjects such as outer space, and architecture; listening to music (he has quite a CD and vinyl collection); watching TV- DVDs & video; collecting bolos (string ties) and die-cast metal cars. His vast music collection includes thousands of artists and many types of music, but he remains a most loyal fan of singer Brenda Lee who he took notice of back in 1965 at age 10. Member at Large
Darrell E.

DARRELL E. is our second Member-at-Large for 2008. This is Darrell’s first term as MAL. Darrell is single and is very much into camping and being a nudist. He hosts many nudist parties at his house near downtown during the year. Many G&M Indy members are also members of Darrell’s group. He is a maintenance man so he is a very handy person to have a around. He was in the military. He is now retired. You can reach Darrell at darrelleaglen@earthling.net
 

 

Member At Large
Fred H.

FRED H. is our first Member-at-Large for 2008. Fred is will be 61 this year, is single and lives near the airport with his dog Sadie and his roommate Michael, the club secretary. He is a professional bus driver in Indianapolis. This is Fred’s third term as Member-at-Large. Fred’s hobbies include cooking, model cars, traveling, meeting people, camping & cuddling! Fred was also part of the original Girth & Mirth Indianapolis. Fred describes himself as just a big, loveable polar bear. Fred doesn’t have an email address but he is a very friendly guy. Say hi to him at some club event.

 

 

Member At Large
Rufus W.

RUFUS W. is our Co-Chairman for of the Crossroads of America Conference. and our newest Member-at-Large. He is an Indianapolis native, graduate of Broad Ripple H.S. and has also lived in Columbus, OH. Rufus returned to Indy 6 years ago and has been active in G&M and Jesus MCC since then. He is single. Rufus has a long list of hobbies including reading fiction, listening to music, he loves anime and manga. His favorite color is blue and he adores sweets. (So if you’re a Smurf and you taste like chocolate, then report to Rufus immediately!) He has participated in the AIDS Walk with Jesus MCC every year he has been in Indy. Rufus enjoys watching Saturday morning cartoons, some sci-fi, drama & comedies. Rufus cried when Will & Grace went off the air. Rufus lives on the east side of town. JEREMIAH M. is our Webmaster. Here are some interesting things about truckercub. He takes care of www.gmindy.com  and www.crossroads-conference.com, which are being hosted by our friends at Chubnet. He is also working on the site Iamnotsecondclass.com, feel free to ask him about it. He has served as the webmaster for nearly a year. Jeremiah is an over the road truck driver. He has brown hair, blue eyes & is 336lbs. Jeremiah said, “I wanted to try and create a site that was a good representation of the club. I wanted us to have a site that we all can be proud of.” Jeremiah is into computers, singing karaoke, and cars. “As far as guys go,” Jeremiah says, “I’m versatile & single.” I love cuddling on a cold night and hot passionate kissing.
